The Estuarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab will be closed on Saturday, October 28 in prepartion for the Dauphin Island Heritage and Arts Council's Gulf Seafood Gala.
The gala is a celebration of Alabama Gulf seafood and the rich heritage and culture that surrounds it.
Coastal Alabama oyster farmers and the Dauphin Island Sea Lab will demostrate the art of growing oysters. There will also be demonstrations such as cast net making, oyster tonging, oyster shucking, shrimp trawl making, gumbo making, and more.
Proceeds from the gala will benefit the Dauphin Island Heritage and Arts Council. To learn more about purchasing tickets, click here.
