This workshop is provided in partnership with the Northern Gulf of Mexico Sentinel Site.

Sea levels are rising and we are experiencing it here at home in the Gulf of Mexico. This full-day interactive workshop introduces Alabama science and social studies teachers to a new curriculum. The lessons connect science to civics and geography to increase the understanding of sea-level rise (SLR) basics and provide community-driven solutions.

High school educators are invited to join us for a full-day interactive workshop where we introduce Mississippi and Alabama science and social studies teachers to our new curriculum. The lessons connect science to civics and geography to increase the understanding of sea-level rise basics and provide community-driven solutions.

The workshop will provide an opportunity to shape the curriculum and identify practical applications.

Participants can also be a sponsored pilot-test classroom in Spring 2020! Participating teachers are eligible for CEUs and a $100 stipend.
